Mittchell Family | South Arkansas Family Photographer

This is a special family that I have been able to photograph many life events for. I flew to Florida to photograph their wedding, I photographed maternity and newborn photos for their first baby, six month photos, one year photos, and now they are having another baby and I’m photographing their gender announcement plus family photos. It is so special for me to be able to capture so many special memories for my friends and clients. It might sound cliche, but I love what I do!!

We met Mark and Michelle at their home to have a quick meal together and then we started off for Logoly State Park in Magnolia, AR. Unfortunately, dark clouds rolled in and it was the gloomiest, darkest day I had seen in a while. It was too late to reschedule, we were literally there at the location. So we made do. I found the best light I could find and we went to work.

It was so hot and crazy humid. We were all drenched in sweat. Or at least I was. I sweat easy. Haha!

Mark, Michelle and Seth were all troopers and handled the day so well. We got some adorable photos and even pulled off the gender reveal! You’ll have to scroll through to see what baby number two is for them!

Winters Extended Family | North Louisiana Photographer

Every year my family all gets together for a big family photo. Then we sub off into groups: grandkids, kids, families, etc. This past year was no different. We all met after church on my family’s land in North Louisiana. I brought my tripod and camera for the cool trick I do every year where I take our own photos. Ha! We get everyone all situated and then I snap the photo and run in. I only 10 seconds before the photos takes but surprisingly I make it every time. That’s the real reason I’m into working out. Haha!!!

Our family is continuing to grow and we just love it. We have a lot of girls but we wouldn’t trade them all for anything. Maybe one day someone will have a boy.. and when they do, he will be SPOILED!!! Until then, we have quite the tribe of girls. They are all best of friends and I just love that they are so close in age. Built in buddies.

Pruitt Christmas | Family Photographer in North Louisiana

Oh how I love this session! We planned this in home Christmas session before little Jesse was even born. When we finally were able to see the finished product, ahhh!!

I offered these in-home Christmas sessions over the Christmas season (obviously) and can’t wait to bring them back again. They were so fun! I loved seeing the unique way that everyone decorates for the seasons. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and getting to document these lovely littles around the tree was just the best!!

The Winters Family

This session took place an hour and a half before sunset, but the unfortunate thing is that it was so cloudy it looked like we had started after sunset. I had to work fast because we were losing light so fast. There was cold front coming in so it was windy, clod, dreary, cloudy, gloomy.. you name it and it was probably that. Little Kinlee had more than photos on her mind. Seeing she is my niece she knows that me usually means her BFF Emma is nearby. All she wanted to do was go see Emma. Haha!!! I had my work cut out for me but thankfully I know a few tricks.

We did all things, played all the games, made it as interesting as possible for an almost two year old. This age is always hard because they are old enough to have a very strong opinion and it can hard to sway them one way or the other.
Bribery works sometimes, but not always. I knew I had to think of ways to make taking photos sound really fun, or better yet, make her even forget we were taking photos and just think we were playing games.

By looking at these photos, I would say it worked. We got some of the sweetest smiles and even some real sass. Haha!! I just love this kid so much. She is such a hoot!

The Pruitt family

This session was seriously so much fun! I’m sure you will be able to tell when you see them. There were so many laughs and smiles. It made my day.

We met in a field at our church in Minden, Louisiana. There were just enough fall-looking plants that it made this session scream “IT’S FALL” and I just loved that. We didn’t have a whole lot of light to work with because of the thick layer of clouds that were covering where the sunset would be, but we made it work and I really love these images.

We picked flowers, ran around, a certain boy put moss is his hair (HAHA!!), there was no shortage of fun, I can assure you. That’s how a family session should be, if you ask me. I don’t want anyone to leave their session with me stressed. I always want to create an environment that welcomes fun and relaxation. Where it’s ok for things to not be perfect. Motherhood is far from perfect.

I love being able to capture personality and I would say we did just that with this session.
